About Us
Our Story
The founder, Alicia Dumais, commenced her legal career with Minter Ellison lawyers in 2001 and after 10 years and being a Senior Associate with the firm, she decided to start her own legal business focusing on workplace dispute resolution. The predominant focus of Alicia’s practice since 2012 has been workplace mediations, facilitated discussions and conflict and leadership coaching and assisting organisations when there are interpersonal conflicts or workplace tensions between employees and between managers and employees.
Alicia started to see that many issues between employees mirrored issues in many other types of relationships, couples, friendships, family issues, business partner issues and that predominantly communication and stress were key players in the conflict.
So, in 2018, Alicia expanded her meditation practice beyond the workplace to assist people with conflict in other areas and in 2025 Alicia decided to rebrand her various mediation offerings and bring them under one brand and Sage Mediation and Coaching was born.
